Founded in 2014, Gamndane Funeral Services (Pty) Ltd was inspired by a real funeral crisis when a family member needed to be transported from Johannesburg to KwaZulu-Natal for burial. That experience revealed a gap: funeral services were unaffordable and often not aligned with the cultural values of black South Africans.
With the blessing and support of Chief Thathezakhe Ngobese of the Ngobese clan, the founder Mr. M. Ngobese embarked on a journey—researching the funeral industry, completing accredited training, and launching a service that would make dignified funerals accessible, affordable, and culturally relevant. Today, Gamndane Funeral Services stands as a trusted funeral partner for individuals, families, indigenous churches, and burial societies across Gauteng and beyond.
